Hi everyone! Do you want to help your cat to keep their claws nice and neat and tidy? And at the same time try and save your furniture? Me and Rags are here to show how to make an easy DIY Cardboard scratcher This DIY is really easy to do and quite fun Ok, so for your DIY cardboard cat scratcher you're going to need: A cardboard box – I'm using a quite small one, which is a shoe box Hot glue gun, a tape measure, a pen Box cutter or a craft knife And some craft glue And if you want to something a little bit more special Some string And most importantly – lots of cardboard! Which Ragsy's guarding for me at the moment, aren't you? Ragsy Ok, so the first thing you want to do is take your box and your tape measure And measure the length And the depth Of the box And with these measurements cut your cardboard into strips Ok, so now that you have your first piece of cardboard You can use this now as a stencil to cut out some more of your cardboard for your box Ok, so once you have enough cardboards rectangles What you want to do is glue them All together using your craft glue Right, once you have glued all your cardboards together into one block Take your shoebox and your hot glue gun And just make a few little blobs At the bottom The bottom of the shoe box Then taking the cardboards that you've just glued together Wedge it Wedge it into the shoebox Ok, and there we have our main cat scratcher If you want to add something a little bit extra special, Take your string and wrap it round the bottom half Of the shoebox Using your hot glue gun to secure it On to the box So there we have it – our DIY Cardboard Cat scratcher!
